LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – August 2007 – Crosley Radio, Inc., a leading manufacturer of retro-style electronics, introduces their newest vinyl preservation turntable called the Keepsake USB Turntable. Last year, Crosley launched several turntable, CD recorder models that quickly became the hottest-selling devices. The Keepsake is Crosley’s solution for music enthusiasts looking for a way to convert their vinyl record collection to a digital audio format. The USB connection, allows consumers to play their albums while also archiving and digitizing their entire vinyl music collection.
The Keepsake offers quick conversion with its easy-to-use USB feature. Simply plug the USB cable into a PC or MAC after installing the included Audacity software package. Audacity rips vinyl content directly to MP3 or WAV format and stores it on your computers’ hard drive. The digital format can then be used for playback on portable audio devices or to record onto a CD. After ripping content, use the software for split track detection. Most record collectors adore the authentic vinyl sounds, but if needed, the Audacity software package can remove muted cracks and pops.
High-tech, but not high-maintenance, the Keepsake only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to set-up. The Keepsake comes completely pre-assembled and features a sturdy outside cover to protect it from dust. No need to worry, the Keepsake converts and plays 33 1/3, 45 and 78 RPM records and features an automatic tone arm. All of this technology comes neatly packaged in a vinyl-wrapped 1950’s suitcase-style exterior. Designed for the hustle and bustle of modern life, the Keepsake can be carried from room-to-room or from home to office.
“The Keepsake, like other Crosley products is created for the true audiophile. The Keepsake offers consumers a way to easily convert their favorite vinyls into a more modern digital format for today’s era,” states Bo LeMastus, President of Crosley Radio.
Retailing for $149.95, the Keepsake USB Turntable will hit the market this fall 2007. It will be available for purchase at www.crosleyradio.com or by calling 1-866-CROSLEY.

Crosley Launches the Composer CD Recorder
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – July 2007 – Crosley Radio, a leading manufacturer of retro-inspired electronics, unveiled the Composer CD Recorder, their newest addition to the CD recorder entertainment center line-up. Recognizing the increasing popularity of record album preservation, the Composer joins the Songwriter CD Recorder model that debuted last fall.
Easy to use and easy on the eyes, the Composer CD Recorder requires no gadgets or gizmos. With a simple touch of the record button, the user can easily capture their entire record collection and preserve it on a more modern compact disc. Crafted for user simplicity, put your record on, place a blank CD in the CD player and press record. Not only can you record from vinyl, but the Composer records from cassette to CD as well. The Composer CD Recorder supports CD-R/RW compact discs. The CD-RW discs give the user the option to erase a CD and re-record as needed.
The CD recorder feature is just the beginning when it comes to the Composer. It also features quality components such as a 3 speed belt driven turntable, programmable CD player, AM/FM radio, cassette player, remote control, and dynamic full range speakers.
Designed to withstand the rigors of life, the Crosley Composer’s cabinet is made of solid hardwoods and veneers. The striking appearance with rounded edges and the Paprika finish shun the likes of today’s plastic turntables.
“Research shows that Americans have over 10 billion record albums sitting in garages, attics, and basements. Our hope is to help people bring their vinyl out of storage. The Composer allows consumers to listen to their favorite record or take it straight to CD,” explains Bo LeMastus, President of Crosley Radio.
The Composer CD Recorder will be available for purchase at 1-866-CROSLEY and www.crosleyradio.com for a retail price of $399.95.
